November 13th, 2009, China Agri-Industries Holdings Limited entered into a cooperation agreement with Suihua Municipal Government regarding the project of processing paddy rice with a capacity of reaching 300,000 tons per year. The implementation of the project and the commencement of the production will not only facilitate the domestic economic development, but also enhance the income of the local farmer and the overall production efficiency of China Agri, creating a win-win situation for both parties.
                                     

Ms. Yang Hong, Deputy General Manager of China Agri and General Manager of Rice Division of China Agri, expressed that the establishment of COFCO Rice (Dalian) Co.,Ltd. at this port city symbolized the kick-off of the strategic move to the north eastern part of China of the Rice Division of China Agri. As the first production facility in the area and located at Suihua, the establishment of plant demonstrated a vital and solid step, following the strategic blueprint of the division to select locations with advantages for plantations of premium crops, modern ports for efficient logistics and strong domestic demands to support sales.
                                     

Mr. Wang Zhipeng, Vice Mayor of Suihua, said that the establishment of the project of Suihua indicated the start-up of the cooperation of both parties. The municipal government would support the project and fully execute the terms stated in the agreement, especially in the areas of railway transportations, privilege policies and constructions, etc.
